We loved the location and the private garden. Rome architecture is beyond belief. You need to have patience with reading the city maps and don't be afraid to use city buses for transport. Hop on and off is probably well worth it. Be very careful for pick pockets. They are fast and professional. Try to stay clear of crowded areas where you stand shoulder to shoulder, even at street crossings. Use a money belt or fanny pack. Try to take in a concert or art exhibit. They are reasonable. Hanging out in the Piazzas at night is favorite pass time for all ages. If you are there on a Sunday, take in the main Flea Market. Rome can be impresive. At moments. The history, the monuments, all this stuff. But if you are looking to clear your mind and reboot yourself before returning to your daily routine, this city might not be the right choice. Similarly to Athens (where I live), navigating excessive traffic and crowds can be really challenging. There should also be no car zones or pedestrian only paths its total and urrer chaos!
