Located in a serene spot overlooking the lake, the property offers a breathtaking panorama of crystal-blue waters and surrounding mountains—the kind of view that instantly washes away any lingering stress. The suites themselves are spacious, beautifully designed, and oriented to make the most of that stunning lakeside scenery. A standout feature was the breakfast service, available until 11:00 AM. The staff would bring a fresh, delicious meal straight to our suite, then discreetly return later to clear away the table—allowing us to savor our morning in total comfort. This level of personalized service truly underscored how dedicated the team is to making every guest feel pampered. The spa facilities were equally impressive. Between the calming atmosphere, modern amenities, and a variety of rejuvenating treatments, it was easy to spend hours unwinding and recharging. Whether you’re taking a quick dip in the pool or enjoying a moment in the sauna, you’re never far from those spectacular lake views. Overall, Aria Retreat & Spa is an idyllic escape for anyone looking to relax far from the bright lights and bustle of city life. We loved pretty much everything about this hotel. The location was perfect, with a private, not crowded beach in Lugano Lake, two swimming pools that were perfectly clean and well-prepared for the guests, and great service and food. I think it was also great value for money

Very nice hotel with friendly staff in the town of Carlazzo. The hotel is in the upper floor, in the ground-floor you will find a restaurant which belongs to the hotel. There is a large parking space in front of the hotel where you can park for free if you arrive by car. The breakfast was exceptional, there was something to choose for everyone (buns, crossaint, marmelade, cheese, salami, orange juice, fruit salad and more). During my visit the weater was nice, so I had my breakfast outside and I could see the sun rise above the mountains. The staff spoke some English and German, so communication was no issue at all. The rooms were cleaned everyday, which included exchanging the towels. The sofa and the bed were very comfortable and I slept well. I had a small fridge in my room which had some water bottles which they refilled everyday for free. In the bathroom you can find shampoo, soap etc. which you can also use for free. In the evening I visited their restaurant twice during my four-night trip. The pizzas were great both times and the prices are really reasonable. The town of Carlazzo itself is rather small, but you can find a supermarket which is opened 24/7 (Carrefour market on Maps), a station where you can refill your water bottles (see picture, it is at Via Elena 336, near the Piano Mulino bus stop), a post office, several other shops and a few bus stops. I did a hike around the Lago del Piano which included great views of the lake, walking through nature and seeing some old buildings. In the city center there are some lovely houses and small streets. I also travelled to both Porlezza (Lugano lake) and Menaggio (Como lake) by bus - both are around a 15-20 minute ride. But remember to check the bus schedules beforehand, during August they drive more infrequently compared to the other months! Overall, I was really happy with the hotel and the destination and I would recommend it for a trip!
