Everything is really well-thought Love the interiors Food is delicious with a good choice of healthy (yet yummy) options - and home-made! Staff is welcoming and pay attention to you and your needs Overall there is a good balance of being in a hotel in the mountains but still having that international vibe which makes it a perfect example of glocal blend. The hotel staff and the owners are amazing. They deal with everything quickly and efficiently. The hotel restaurant is soooooo good. And they're open to make reasonable adjustments to the dishes in the menu, on request. The deserts are...WOW :) They also have an extensive list of wines and the ones I tasted were all very good and decently priced. There's a really nice rest area next to the restaurant, where there's some kind of entertainment going on every evening, special costumes night on Sunday (I think). The hotel is literally on the side of the slopes.

The hotel was definitely the best part of a great skiing trip. The suite was spacious, we enjoyed the private sauna in the balcony every day. Getting into a hot steamy sauna after a day of skiing and watching the snow tractors leaving to fix the slopes while the last late skiers are rushing back home, enjoying the view in the balcony with a glass of beer - that is a feeling second to none. Hotel is well located, close to the center, right besides a blue slope that leads to/fom Campinoi cable car.

Having visited over 30 countries in Europe, the Cavallino is our favorite hotel! The staff at this beautiful family run hotel are all wonderful. The property has been in the family since the mid-1800's. The new hotel was built in 2010 and was built to very high standards. The food (both breakfast and dinner) are delicious. Definitely purchase the pre-paid dinner: a delicious 5-course meal and, If the pre-set menu doesn't suit you, you can order off of their dinner menu. They offer several vegetarian entrees. The views from the rooms are amazing! We stayed three nights. On the first night of our stay, the hotel provided complimentary drinks and appetizers before dinner on the back patio. This was our third stay at the Cavallino in ten years and we are never disappointed. At 5 or 6 pm, the local cows are paraded up the street wearing their bells. Fun to watch! Even some of the lovely art work was created by mother and daughter of the large hotel family.
