Kaako was a wonderful host and cook. It was great to experience a Japanese home and home cooking on the coldest day of our trip! The futon was very comfortable and the surrounding area was beautiful.

The area was beutiful with some lovely walks. Great for a relaxing time. The host realy went above and beyond. I don't think there is a walkable shop but the hotel is also a restaurant.

We rented a wrong room type for two person and the staff was very understanding and helpful to change the room. The breakfast was delicious and the kitchen staff very nice. A lot of parking space.

Meeting Nori, Se Shiu, and all the other monks was one of the highlights of our trip; they made us feel really welcome anytime we met and were happy to answer our questions with insight and thoughtfulness, making it look easy when in fact they were always busy with keeping things in order. Surprisingly good mostly everything, very spacious room, clean, good size bed and very comfortable. Very nice and comfortable bathroom too. We didn't really met with the hosts but they had a great system getting the keys with clear instructions. We're certainly very happy.

We really loved our stay in this Komyo-in Temple. We participated in the evening meditation, the morning prayer and fire ceremony. The dinner and the breakfast was very delicious and we were really pleased that during our dinner our bed was prepared for sleep. The location is very nice, it is very close to Okunoin cemetary. This was the highlight of our Japan tour and we really recommend vist Koyasan.
