The Southern part of Okinawa is neither pretty nor particularly pleasant.A chaotic collection of rarely attractive buildings, it is plagued by traffic jams, lack of public transportation, etc. Still, there are a few worthwhile archeological remains, some good restaurants, the old (mostly pedestrian) part of Naha is very pleasant. The room and hotel was even better than I imagined. There is a washing machine, microwave and ice cube machine in the hotel and there is even a small refrigerator in the room! I was on the 6th floor and had a good view of the sea. The hotel also has a restaurant and a family mart. The bus station is a 5-minute walk away.
