- Perfect location for getting the Shinkansen to Tokyo or a train to Hakodate. - The onsen was Nice. - There a many small shops on the 1st floor. - Friendly and professional staff. - Everything is new and the hotel has a high comfort feeling. - The room was spacious and the view on Hakodate mountain very beautiful in the morning.

It’s a special experience for foreigners like us to stay in this hotel, it’s old and bit outdated,no English at all, it’s purely for Japanese, but we found it very pleasant and comfortable.

The hotel is very conveniently placed and is very close to the morning market as well as the JR Hakodate station. The room itself has a very modern feel, being unlocked by a QR code or by a pin. It is also self locking as well! For ~$100 a night, it's very worth it.

- perfect breakfast featuring local delights like Hokkaido ice cream, caviar, and sashimi. Hotel is well situated close to Hakodate fish market. Room was of generous proportions with plenty of storage space. Kitchen was an added bonus. Hotel had no restaurant so breakfast was either delivered to your room or you had a breakfast voucher which could be redeemed at one of the many restaurants in the fish market. We enjoyed this very much, meaning you could try a different style of food each day. The delivered breakfast was either a set japanese or western style. Staff was friendly and very helpful, despite the language barrier. However they used a portable translation device so there was no problem whatsoever. There are also laundry facilities in the hotel, which is useful.

Less than 5min walk from JR train station. Also near the tram stop. There's a Lawson next door and a simple and good seafood restaurant beside Lawson. The staff are pleasant and helpful. The room was old style, but clean and comfortable. The aircon can be controlled precisely to your preference, there's a cute stainless steel kettle in the room that boils and cools water quickly. Breakfast is free and there are Japanese and Western options. The bed is firm, but I slept well. There is a large window to let in sunlight. Amenities like toothbrush, pyjamas, face wash, moisturiser, etc are provided in the hotel lobby.
