Loved the ease and convenience of the location, the cleanliness of the rooms and the facilities, and the absolutely excellent staff that works there! One of the best places to stay when moving through Kyushu! Will definitely stay there and other R9s again!

We arrived quite late at night but the uncle at reception was so kind & nice. Simple check in process & there is some parking charge (forgot the fee but we paid together during check in). It's more like business hotel and suitable in case you only need a place to stop by for a night.

We chose Kikuchi instead of Kumamoto, to get away from the city before our trip to Mt Aso. We got a lovely country house, but the main benefit was the lovely couple who hosted us. Super friendly and helpful. I enjoyed breakfast, my wife skipped hers, so the host packed it as a bento box for our lunch. Vegetables from the garden. A guided visit to the forest to see fireflies. Tastes of local food and drink. It was if we were lodging with my favourite aunt and uncle.
