We had an amazing stay. The staff were so lovely. The food was amazing and there was so much of it! You do not need to eat lunch! They were also very accommodating of dietary restrictions. The onsens were lovely in the day time with the cherry blossom and in the evening under the stars. It was so relaxing. They had PJs and all the toiletries you’d need. You could turn up with no luggage and be fine. We also booked the karaoke room which was good fun. We did the hot stone experience too which was absolutely boiling (shockingly) but enjoyable. Wish we had stayed longer.

Stay for 2 nights. I arrived early, but they stored my luggage, which is nice. Breakfast was a good. The lounge was pretty cozy and a good place to relax for a bit at night. Location is pretty good with easy access to the main spots and a convinience store.

    The onsen town of Yugawara is a delight.

    The onsen town of Yugawara is a delight. Rent bikes or scooters at the friendly Tourist Info office at the train station. Super sights like shrines and a bird-friendly river cascading through town with a fury during snow melt, sakura groves, and hills covered with trees. Some expensive dining options, a few inexpensive ones. The day-use onsen Kogomen o yu is less that ten US dollars a day and the outdoor baths (men and women separate) is lovely.
