Not a great deal to do or see in Oita.
Not a great deal to do or see in Oita. The castle ruins holds some interest. A very friendly man in a temporary office in the car park helpfully explained more about the castle and it's moats. Could use Oita as a base for visiting Beppu if you can't get accommodation there By train it's only 280 yen and 12 minutes away.Guest review byRichardUnited Kingdom

I stepped into the onsen and relaxation room and was like, "Woah, you serious, Dormy?!" Nice people working here, too. I was like, "Please, you top level service anyways." Also, the location is great, just steps away from Oita Station and the Amu Plaza mall as well a fee minutes walk from the nearby shopping street.
