One of my favorite ski resorts in all of Japan is in Otari!!
One of my favorite ski resorts in all of Japan is in Otari!! Tsugaike Kogen. Gorgeous nature, awesome slopes, lots of shops nearby and the ski resort's infrastructure is great!! It is a small village.
It is a small village. There are only a few restaurants to choose from, so if you stayed here a week you would need a car or to take a taxi to eat at some new restaurants. It is close to the Taugaike gondola. We liked skiing Tsugaike and Iwatake because there were nice long runs without moguls connected to high speed lifts. I might stay in Exholand or near Happo-One and then plan on busing to either of these resorts. I’m an intermediate skier, but older and do not care for mogul skiing or real extreme conditions.Guest review byQuinn

And we are extremely grateful to one of the staff members named Tom. We had rented some skiing equipment from a place quite far away. When we were about to leave the hotel, we needed to return it. The driving distance was more than 20 minutes. He was so warm - hearted that he helped us transport all the equipment there. Then he even took us to the nearest station.
