A beautiful cosy japanese house in a beautiful valley perfect for a group of friends or a family. Wonderful owners who were super friendly. They clean the bathtub everyday, tell everything about the area of things to do, let you rent the grill or other things, and then they even gave us some free vegetables from a nearby farm.

This was well worth the extra money vs the usual hotels you can stay in in japan. The hotel comprises a collection of old town houses that have gardens and courtyards and are in the old town of Ozu . We had dinner and breakfast included. The dinner was a 7 course meal and we had paired sake. It was outstanding, the chef did a fantastic job with all courses. Probably one of the best meals we have ever had. The room was actually a two story house with a garden and was spectacular. Finally the staff were excellent and added to what was already a very special hotel.

Before facing a challenging 30 km stage, we treated ourselves to a stay here — and it couldn’t have been better. I’ve worked in hospitality for over ten years and rarely have I found such kind, thoughtful, and professional staff. The services offered are truly outstanding: free happy hour, 24-hour coffee and drinks, a smoking area on every floor, vending machines, microwaves, and beautiful, well-curated amenities. The room was extremely comfortable, with a great bed and a spacious, modern shower. You can feel the attention to detail and the guest’s well-being. Also, the location is strategic, perfect for exploring the area. My sincerest compliments to the hotel manager and the entire staff: a wonderful example of Japanese hospitality.

The house is just so beautiful! The brilliance of Traditional meets modern in a functional and aesthetically beautiful way. There is parking at the front a small space for a small car. We were greeted so warmly, with the house warmed up, and it stocked with some essentials already. The house was well stocked with utensils and cooking items, we went to the supermarket not far from the house and cooked up a lovely dinner in the kitchen. The kotatsu was so warm and comfortable, the bedrooms had very soft comfortable mattresses and pillows as well! The house is very close to Ozu castle and it’s a lovely and short walk through the suburb to get there and if you want more of a walk there is access to the river that is next to the castle that has a lovely scenic walk. I would definitely recommend a stay and if I am ever back with the family I will stay again!

The location was so convenient. We have no vehicle so the train station is close and there are lots of buses. The Lawsons so close was extremely convenient and I loved the bath salts. Everything was wonderful. The staff is amazing, so helpful. We used the laundry with such ease.
