I wasn't expecting much, but Setoda and Yubune Hotel surpassed my expectation. Design wise very sophisticated, comfortable and spacious for Japan standard. The common area on the 2nd floor was beautiful, and most importantly The Sentō! 10/10, definitely the main highlight of this hotel, you get to relax in hot water after a long day of exploring the island!

Absolutely loved our stay. It was a piece of paradise after riding the day from Onomishi. The staff were very welcoming and lovely, and thought of every key moment. Views were lovely and the room was perfect. Eco vibes and loved the Aussie native plants too. To top it off Brekky was yum and croissant 🙌🏼

This place is great on the Shimanami Kaido, fan of architucture will love this place. Everything was beautiful to the details. Food there was beautiful too! 'Hipster' fancy and not cheap but worthe its while for sure! Single rooms have amazing views but the dormitory is as comfy and nice - the view on the tree is a nice gesture- Still need earplugs if you are sensitive to sounds. Staff where nice and helpful and down to a little chat which is always appreciated.

The location is just perfect within walking distance from the city center, and sufficiently up the hill to enjoy a beautiful sunset. Everything is graciously taken care off - the garden, the kitchen, the facilities. There is good energy in this place, and I bet it’s the staff, friendly and helpful, spreading love around. Our stay at the hotel was exceptional. We enjoyed every moment—from the staff, the ambiance, the room, and the place as a whole. A special mention goes to the dinner we had at the hotel, prepared by Chef Kenya Akita, who undoubtedly deserves three Michelin stars. Chef Akita, a Japanese culinary artist, trained for 13 years in France at a Michelin-starred restaurant before returning to Japan to adapt his extensive culinary expertise to the local cuisine. Every dish was outstanding, both in terms of flavors and aesthetic presentation. The meal was simply extraordinary. Don’t miss it!
