The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. We arrived after the hotel restaurant had closed and the manager was so concerned that we wouldn't have something to eat for dinner that he personally drove us into town to a local restaurant. Our Japanese style room was relaxing with a beautiful view and by the end of our very short trip to Taiji, it felt like the staff were our good friends. Looking forward to returning.

Clean, cheap, closest to a fish market. Washing machines and dryers for 300yen for 60 mins. AC works good, room was good enough to rest. 5 mins walk from Kii Katsuura station was not far. Lawson convenience store was 30 seconds walk. Next building on 1st floor Japanese breakfast was available for 700yen, friendly local staff.

The owner was really friendly and chatted for quite a while. Location was only 11 minutes from Nachi Falls by car and easy to find from the expressway. Room was cosy, clean and was as expected.

We stayed at this hotel for one night during our trip to Nachi Falls and were very pleased! Yes, the hotel and rooms may seem a little outdated, but the care from the owner who greeted us and the wonderful location of the hotel itself smooth out all these minuses! A nice room with two beds and everything you need: a refrigerator, sockets near the bed, a beautiful view of the sea from our windows, the bathroom has everything you need (we also saw that on the first floor you can take consumables, such as disposable toothbrushes and other small things)

We booked our trip last minute and so accommodation was a challenge but this gem was definitely the best place we stayed. The owner is incredibly helpful, friendly and kind. The view over the mountains and sea is just sublime, and rounding it off that you're staying in a rustic Japanese log cabin - its the full package in my opinion.

The temple and it's garden has very unique peaceful atmosphere. The people were very kind and we could get interesting information about Buddhism during the zazen and breakfast experience. I recommend this accommodation if you want a break from the rat race.

    View was really nice from room. Room was big.

    View was really nice from room. Room was big. Smelt like cigarettes in hallway. Outdated decor. Restaurant breakfast was not good. Coffee and tea was terrible. Over looked a dolphin park, being a western more animal welfare focused mindset it was terrible to see these animals in their tiny enclosures. The place should be shut down...just mind blown these things still exist in the world today. The area didn't have much to do as we were here in autumn so couldn't swim. The old go kart course needs to be cleared away..felt like we were in a zombie acropolis.
