Comfortable futons, lovely small room though the room is small but got everything we needed. Very clean. The host is a very nice lady, she gave us some tips about the area. Walking distance to JR and Metro stations and supermarket (Fresco)

This place was amazing! Greeted and checked in by the owner and such a welcoming environment. The place had everything we needed and some handy extras you could borrow if you wanted to. The room was fantastic. So close to the Kyoto Stations. The deck on top was also amazing. I could only dream of more places like this for this price around the world. Thank you so much for a gread stay!

    The hosts were incredibly kind, friendly, and always helpful. The room I stayed in was simply stunning—part of a beautiful traditional Japanese house that offers a full, authentic cultural experience. The location is also perfect, right in the heart of Uji, just a short walk from famous temples like Byōdō-in and other sightseeing spots. It’s also a great base for visiting Kyoto or even taking a short trip to Tokyo. And of course, Uji is the matcha capital of Japan—so everything was truly unforgettable.

    Add-Hostel Uji is a really nice house very close to the station and Uji main attractions! The staff was super nice and polite. They allowed me to leave my baggage even after check out. The room is spacious and and public spaces are clean and comfortable! You have free drinks in the common space. I had a very nice experience:)

    Incredible location and views. Short walk from many shrines in Uji and a ~30 minute train to Kyoto station. Rooms are air conditioned and have balconies facing the river Uji for a stunning morning view. Staff are super friendly and kind.
