We loved our time at the Uji Tea Inn! It was quite easy to walk to the different train stations and amenities. Our hosts were exceptionally lovely and made us feel special during our stay. We would love to stay here again on our next visit to Kyoto.

EVERYTHING! The people running it are adorable! The japanese style room fabulous! The shared shower rooms and toilets spotless! The location is peaceful but still close to all main areas. The free beer, coffee, tea was a lovely touch and the kitchen area is well equipped. A great little spot! Highly recommended.

The kitchen was a wonderful thing we didn't think we would love as much as we did, same goes for the in room washer dryer! The bathroom was wonderful and really nice to soak in a deep bath after walking all day! Beds were comfortable and large. Being a 5 minute walk to the biggest train station in Kyoto is a major boon made a lot of travel easier. Staff were friendly but we didn't need any additional help so experience might differ.

    A beautiful location. Rriver view is outstanding! During cherry blossoms, it should be absolutely magical. The room is a great combination of a traditional ryokan and a modern hotel, has everything you need for comfortable stay. The staff is friendly and helpful. We also were allowed to leave our luggage before check-in. We visited public baths and liked it.

    Owner was friendly and accommodative and even gave us snacks 😊 Place was very clean and comfortable to stay in, just a walk away from the main streets of uji but far enough for some peace at night absolutely perfect! Would definitely stay here again if I ever come back to uji.
