Okay we might be a bit biased, because we keep coming back ... and every time the staff welcome us with open arms! If you are looking for gold water taps, fancy jacuzzi baths, swimming pools, and a ten pages thick menu card, you need to choose one of the international hotel brand --- and pay twenty times as much! If you are looking for peace and quite, authentic African hospitality, scenic view over Africa's largest lake, Lake Victoria, the mountains and Kisumu City, you definitely should choose Lago Resort! We had a third floor room with lake view and balcony which we appreciated very much. We had breakfast on the balcony in the morning to watch the monkeys in the forest between Hotel and Lake - not recommended. They paid us a visit and we had to move inside. The swimmingpool was refreshing, staff was very nice and responsive.
