Nairobi is a bigger city than I expected.
Nairobi is a bigger city than I expected. Getting around during off peak times is reasonable easy, however it can be quite busy during peak times. Getting through the international airport can be a painful experience as you have to get out of the car and go through security as you get to the main gate to the airport. Different to my prior travelling experiences, however once I settled in and became more familiar with locals customs and found the basic services, so I grew to really like Nairobi. The climate, the weather is sensational, overall the people are generally very friendly and welcoming. Nairobi Kenya 🇰🇪 is a great city , the capital city of Africa, for entrepreneurs like me I see it as the silicon savannah of Africa! The city has everything u need for your comfort while traveling for business or personal holiday. The only thing you need to be careful with is ask prices upfront, then bargain if u can , don't pay for anything until u see and touch it , even hotel rooms... You have to see first and feel the vibe . Use reputable companies like Uber for transportation if u haven't hired personal vehicle, it's easier to report them through the App than just random guys , lastly don't walk around downtown alone at night , u might lose your items . First and foremost, Milany is a great host - very helpful, friendly and just a super nice person. The apartment is comfortable, well-furnished and very clean. No problems with hot water, and there is even a private balcony where you can dry your clothes. It is really close to the airport and to the train station, which makes it the best choice if you travel and want to avoid the crowded center of Nairobi.
