Great location. The restaurant had good options and was a very nice place to sit, relax and people watch. The waitress and the man at the reception were very very kind and helpful. The breakfast included with the room was great.

A cute and clean place for anyone starting the loop! The owner is a lovely woman who helps with everything you need. She even gave me a ride on her motorbike to do a quick money change when we were short on time, and personally drove us to the airport herself! We highly recommend this place!

Very friendly and helpful owner. Stayed in double room with private bathroom. Very clean. Good hot shower. A/C a bit noisy at times. Other friendly travellers to share information with and chat to. A quiet place not a party place.

This was a lovely place to spend a few days chilling and catching up on work as the room was large and airy and the air con and wifi were very efficient. The bed wasn't as hard as some of the beds we've slept on in Laos. Although it is located in an industrial area off a main road, it was very quiet and peaceful and it felt like a bit of a haven as it had a nice garden around it. The staff were friendly and one of them spoke good English. Each day they gave us water and toilet paper (which you don't get without asking for it in some places). The shower was quite strong and it was placed away from the toilet so you don't get wet feet if you need to go to the toilet in the middle of the night! We had some clothes washed at a reasonable cost of 30k kip/kg.

    It's worth staying for a day and a night just to see the...

    It's worth staying for a day and a night just to see the historic area with the French colonial buildings. The place was pretty empty when we were there and some restaurants were closed so it's not really that happening during the rainy season. Managed to get two nice sunsets which was a bonus because it was raining for much of the time we were there and we had zero expectations of seeing a sunset on the Mekong whilst in Thakhek. Food was average (but we didn't go to the expensive places).

    It's a great view of city and village life.

    It's a great view of city and village life. You do the loop and that some what sums up your trip. I did hit the Mountain you take a boat under and I took the "Back road" by mistake and ended up driving 58km though Laos villages Seriously the best part of the trip. I got to see a side of Laos 99% Of tourist never will so def. something worth seeing if you find that back road, its not hard to see if you do the loop backwards from what hotels advise you. the caves are great, Dragon cave is a SERIOUS hike, the first few caves just east of the town are barely 5 minute visits and are used for praying not so. much tourism.

    This is the best hotel I’ve been to! The rooms, bathrooms, and common areas are extraordinarily clean and also very comfortable. The hosts are a lovely couple, they are incredibly helpful. They helped us plan our Thakhek loop and stored our bags while we were away. They also arranged our travels to our next city. The beds are extremely comfortable, wifi is great, and breakfast is amazing! 10/10 recommend!!! Also location is perfect and walking distance from motorbike rentals and restaurants/cafes. The best!!

    It's the perfect hostel to start off the Thakhek Loop from. They have lots of information on the walls and the staff can answer any questions you have. When we returned from the loop we booked our bus with the hostel and they were so kind and let us shower and chill at the hostel as we waited for our pick up. Highly recommend this hostel!

    Beautiful place, good vibe and super helpful staff. Nico gave advice on the Thakhek loop and how to do it the best way. Also great with booking transportation and other things. Dorm room was nice and clean and is actually a 6 person and 4 person room joined by an open doorway rather than one 10 person room.

    We could deposit our bags during the Thakhek loop, they have a special room for it. We didn’t stay a night in Thakhek when we came back but they still gave us access to showers. Our bus arrived at 4 am and they were organised so that we could go in our room at that time.

    After a terrible stay in a hostel just 500meters away, I was happy to enjoy the comfort, a nice and clean bed with a great bathroom. Perfect end of 4 days on the loop. Very good standard for a hotel in Takhek
