Vanpila had everything we were looking for—a comfortable room, a peaceful garden, and a friendly host. Nico was happy to share his recommendations, and we enjoyed our conversations with him. The property was in a quiet area but a good location because there were nice food spots nearby. The location has a pool downstairs and the staff was kind and check in was no issue. Beds were comfy and the shower worked well.

    Ok the COVID scare did Savannaket no favors Many businesses were shut down and you can tell the hotels are doing it tough also The infrastructure is going to pieces It is a pity to see this but the Lao people are nice Easy to get around Savannaket but hard to get a good meal Most eating places are shut by 5

    The hotel is cosy and very clean. The bed is very, very comfortable, also the pillow is of good quality. The location is few minutes away from the airport and very close to local shops and restaurants. I travel to Savannakhet at least 4 times a year, if the price is kept as it was this time, I believe to have found the ideal place where to stay in the future trips.

    The apartment is very clean and spacious and has everything you need. You can rent a bike which makes it easy to reach everything. Some reviews mentioned it being noisy, but it’s really just the odd weekend night but that’s Laos 😄 Most evenings were super quiet. Hosts were wonderful and even lent me a laptop when mine broke!

    The rooms were very big and spacious. The location was good in terms of walking to the night market etc. Not a whole lot to do in Savannakhet so this was a good location for that. Staff were very friendly.
