A pleasant town with some very agreeable corners such as Mitteldorf and the Princely Wine Estate. Excellent National Museum although the Art Museum is a disappointment as it contains virtually none of the wonderful paintings owned by the Prince, which surely could be shared between the Liechtenstein Museum in Vienna and the Kunstmuseum in Vaduz. It's easy to get around at the Liechtenstein Card is fantastic value, getting you in free to all sorts of places, including the winery. Centuries of character are on display, including a massive traditional wine press, a converted stable, and beautiful dining room. I was offered an upgrade and the room was stunning, sunny and traditionally-furnished but with a beautiful modern bathroom. Several shops, restaurants, and attractions are all nearby within walking distance and while the hotel mostly operates on a self-service theme, they do have a phone number which you can call at any time of day to have questions about the property, Vaduz, and Liechtenstein answered by a member of the hotel's staff.
