Comfort ,Cleanliness and the amenities which they offered for this price not even expensive hotels will be provided. This one we got to know after experiencing other accommodation where we were in Sri Lanka. For Appleton Villa it’s all about service and caring while others only the money. The best thing that happened there was the welcoming and outstanding hospitality from staff who made our stay enjoyable.They are very professional, understanding, welcoming and caring. They exceeded our expectations and we highly recommend the Appleton Villa.

A wonderful simple & authentic home stay. The owners (mother & son) were so lovely, friendly and helpful. The tea & cake on arrival were very welcome! It was the perfect overnight stay before doing the 10minute walk to Nanuoya train station the next day. Would highly recommend.

Thank you for your wonderful hospitality during our stay at Grounders River Cabin. The staff went out of their way to look after us and decorated the room with rose petals and love hearts for our honeymoon. The dinner was lovely, authentic Sri Lankan style and the room was clean, we had all we needed. We had the most perfect view of the river below and the constant sound of the river made for a wonderful sleep. Special thanks to the wonderful owner for taking us to the train station in the morning!
