Super friendly and helpful staff. They go out of their way to make sure everything runs smoothly. We asked if the room could be made a bit darker, and they sorted it without any hassle. The pool is great. We used it every day. The co-working area is solid too. Fast WiFi, plenty of space, and a good setup to get work done. Location is perfect. Would definitely stay here again.

The best resort in south Sri Lanka!! It was a pleasure to stay in this resort, the facilities are amazing, and brand new. The staff are incredibly polite with very good English speaking. They made the check-in process very nice & smooth and helped recommend places to see and visit on the South Coast. My room was also very comfortable, considering most places I've stayed in Sri Lanka the bed tends to be a little harder, but the rooms in Terra Resort had the comfiest bed & pillows. The location is also a short 5ish min walk to the main beach of Kabalana which makes it really easy to get around. The reception also has tuktuk call services too, that come to pick you up from the resort if you want to get into town or go surfing. I highly recommend this place if it's your first time in Sri Lanka, Or if you looking for an earthy boutique-style place to stay, it made my journey to this country all the sweeter.

Very friendly owners, small and cozy place, newly modern build, good pool. The owner helped out with planning safari day trip, which we really enjoyed! Definitely recommend, 10 out of 10 would come back!!

We had an incredible stay at Sola Hotel – it was our second stop in Sri Lanka, and we liked it so much that we decided to stay an extra night! The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. The food was exquisite, thanks to the amazing chef, and the cocktails were absolutely incredible, thanks to Wiraj. The manager also made our stay extra special with his warm attention. The design of the hotel and the surrounding landscape are stunning, and taking a shower there felt like a real luxury. A huge thank you to the whole team!

Ahangama is so peaceful - it's slightly away from the busier areas around the coast. The restaurants around are in great locations, and all very calm with great vibes. It's also very easy and quick to get to neighbouring towns to visit sites, or restaurants in those locations as well.

I really loved how cozy and clean the hostel was — it felt like home! The staff and owner were super friendly and helpful. The only small thing is that it can get a bit quiet at night, but overall it’s a perfect place to relax.

The place is so nice to walk around it’s full of amazing cafes , restaurants and small boutiques. All the restaurants are offering grey food and amazing view. The people are so friendly and it safe place. P

We actually stayed in Kabalana which is just 25 min walk or...

We actually stayed in Kabalana which is just 25 min walk or 5 min tuk tuk drive from Ahangama. It was the right decision as Ahangama was twice as busy and Kabalana beach was way better. Restaurants near us were really nice too and with the most famous night club in Sri Lanka called Trax round the corner!

Ahangama is great for surfing, restaurants and social life!

Ahangama is great for surfing, restaurants and social life! There are some weekly parties in town and a lot of solo travellers which can be met on social hostels, all around the town and at the beach. Loved Ahangama and it gave me very homey feeling, came back after seen the island a bit more!

Staying here at the Mangroves homestay has been amazing. We originally booked one night but extended to the end of our trip as staying here has been such a pleasure. The Hosts and the family are so kind and welcoming, helping with anything you can need. They're always here when you need them. A great location and set off the main road with a shortcut across the train tracks to the surf spot. It's so peaceful here and would love to stay again if we're ever in Sri Lanka.

Excellent hotel with really friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are spacious and clean with a great outside communal space. Well equipped kitchen if you want to cook something. The pool is maintained everyday and super refreshing! Excellent location only a short walk to town and the beach but the rooms and location are peaceful and nice to relax. One of our favourite stays in Sri Lanka. Photos do not do this place justice!

Very beautiful house with two nice terraces and balcony. Super nice and friendly family. I felt so welcome and they helped me with everything. Had the best breakfast during my time in Sri Lanka, so delicious. The room was very nice, with AC and bed comfortable bed. Had the best sleep during my travels there. It’s very close to Kabalana beach and nice restaurants. Will definitely come back next time!

Lovely hostel. The owners are so nice. There was no atm close by so the owner drove me on his scooter. This café is lovely too and the chef makes the best kottu I've eating in Sri Lanka! You can eat with a view on the ocean. The beach in front of the house is beautiful and not very crowded. A lot of people staying here are long term guests that surf.

The perfect location! So close to ahangama town, marshmellow surf point and the sea. Jasmine and Denis are such ace hosts as well - really helpful whenever you need something - this was the perfect spot for me to really relax into Sri lanka pace
