We made a last-minute booking and were lucky to get the Sky Villa – a true gem and hidden treasure! The view was absolutely breathtaking, with a private jacuzzi pool and an unbeatable sense of privacy. The service was exceptional, with staff operating at the highest level of professionalism. This is a pretty new property located in a privileged area with an incredible view. The rooms are super beautiful as you can see in the pictures. We found it a perfect place to spend the night after visiting the Elephant Freedom Project which is few minutes away. They also have an infinity pool with a great view on the terrace where you can also enjoy breakfast in the morning if weather allows. They also provide dinner/lunch and the menu has a big variety of different kinds of food for a very fair price. We tasted it and it was amazing. The manager was very attentive of our needs and did everything possible to make our stay perfect.

The hotel is in a stunning location and the staff were very attentive. The food was delicious and everyday a different Sri Lanka meal. The hotel has still a lot of the original furniture and old colonial feeling.

Incredible place, one of the nicest we stayed in Sri Lanka and it was just meant to be a stopover. Very comfortable room. Great common area and pool. River was really nice to swim in too. The best was the warm welcome from Lakshan and getting to chat with him. He is a great host and very good cook too! Would definitely recommend staying and eating there. Food was very reasonable prices and very good quality .

We left this hotel with a great impression. From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm and welcoming. We were traveling with a child and lots of luggage, and they helped us store everything and checked us in earlier than expected — which was a big help! Our room was clean, spacious, with perfect air conditioning, and a balcony overlooking the river and jungle — with so many elephants in view, it was amazing! The staff also helped us arrange a trip to the nearby elephant village, which was truly unforgettable. For families with kids, I highly recommend this place. There’s a separate pool for children, and the restaurant staff were super friendly, always happy to prepare and heat up meals for our little one. Overall, we felt very well taken care of — thank you for making our stay in Pinnawala so comfortable!
