After 2 weeks it was probably the most beautiful accommodation on our trip through Sri Lanka. The location is simply breathtaking, away from the hustle and bustle of Kandy, the view is priceless and the staff and the manager always tried to accommodate our needs. The breakfast was very rich and more than sufficient, we also enjoyed the excellent food in the evening.

We had the privilege of staying at Kandy Dendrobium House, a true paradise nestled in the mountains just 30 minutes from Kandy. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with a kindness and attention to detail that is rare to find when traveling. This is not just a place to stay — it’s a genuine experience, deeply connected to nature and to the heartfelt hospitality of Sri Lanka. The location is simply enchanting: a peaceful haven surrounded by lush greenery, breathtaking views, and a profound sense of serenity. Every detail, from the common areas to the rooms, is designed with care and respect for the environment, creating perfect harmony with the surrounding landscape. A special thank you goes to the wonderful people who made our stay so memorable: • Dilshad Farook, the naturalist, who passionately guided us through the area’s rich biodiversity, turning every walk into a small adventure. • Malindu, the manager, always present, professional, and attentive to every need. • Dharma Sri, Sandeepa, Asanga, Marlon, always present, attentive, ready to assist us with warmth and discretion. • Ravindra, the chef, who delighted us daily with delicious, authentic dishes prepared with great skill. • Mahanama, our driver, kind, reliable, and always with a smile, making every journey safe and pleasant. Thanks to all of you, Kandy Dendrobium House was not just a travel destination — it became a home away from home, a place we will always carry in our hearts. We were a family of 6 adults and 2 children that booked three rooms at Bellwood. I had initially booked the hotel for the stunning views it offers, unfortunately we stayed during a cyclone. Despite this we had an amazing stay at Bellwood and it has become one of my personal favourite hotels of our stay. The hotel is beautiful with lovely large bedrooms and very comfortable beds. The staff were extremely fun and couldn’t have been more helpful. The hotel is a an extra journey from Kandy but worth the extra travel for its quiet picturesque location. The journey to and from the hotel adds to the experience of visiting Sri Lanka

We had an unforgettable experience at Blue Waters Edge Kandy. The view of the river was absolutely breathtaking, and the whole place felt peaceful and relaxing. Our room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable with luxury touches—plus the AC worked perfectly, which was a big plus. The food was so delicious, and the staff were super friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommended

Everything was perfect! 🤗 The hotel was very clean and beautiful. It is surrounded by lush greenery, and the whole building blends seamlessly into nature with its earthy colours, plants, and thoughtfully designed interior and exterior. The rooms were very spacious and clean. Two sides of the room were just windows, allowing you to wake up to the sunrise over the mountains. The breakfast was delicious, with generous portion sizes. The milk tea was a 10/10! Since it was the Sri Lankan New Year, they had also arranged a table with traditional Sri Lankan sweets, which was a lovely touch. Most importantly, the staff were exceptional. Upon arrival, we were given a WhatsApp number for communication. They responded quickly and clearly—very friendly and professional. The location was also great, just a 30-minute drive from Kandy, making it convenient for exploring the area. But honestly, the resort itself was so peaceful and well-designed that we felt completely relaxed without even needing to leave. It was the perfect place to unwind and recharge. Overall, it was such a wonderful experience. Highly recommended! ❤️❤️❤️

Everything. It was the perfect escape for some much needed relaxation. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Special mention for Nana who took us on a tour of the organic garden where most (if not all) the restaurant food is grown on site. A wealth of knowledge from this man, explaining all the health benefits of each plant. The food was exquisite, so compliments to the chefs and kitchen. The dining experience was made by the manager Heradh, who was so enthusiastic and funny. We thoroughly enjoyed his warm nature. It was also our introduction to Ayurveda which made our entire Sri Lankan trip that much more enjoyable. There is an Ayurvedic doctor on site with whom you can meet with and she proscribes specific treatments tailored to your needs. Our therapists were also great, Mohamed and Tharanga both so warm, friendly and accommodating. This was one of our best stops on our Sri Lankan trip. Don’t rush this stay, we stayed 3 nights and we wish we had stayed longer.

Excellent location Need road leading to the htl be renovated. Breakfast can be improved including table arrangements and background soft music to add serene values. Food was so good and tasty Staff were superb and much caring and friendly with professional approach. Nice and wonderful place to be.

AMAZING STAY. Janaka and his wife are adorable and so hospitable. The place was very peaceful and the views are incredible. Janaka’s wife’s cooking was also nothing short of amazing! Would highly recommend and plan to come back one day in the future!
