We stayed in the presidential suite at Andriyala for 3D2N on our honeymoon. It was definitely a highlight of our 2 week trip to Sri Lanka. The room itself was beautiful and newly renovated, with a private pool, deck, and hammock overlooking the countryside. The views are absolutely stunning. You will wake up and sleep to sweeping views of the Sri Lankan tea country. The service was also fantastic. Every meal was served to us private dining style on our deck. Make sure you have dinner while the sun is setting; it's absolutely beautiful. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable during our stay; they organised a scooter as well as a repair service when one of our bags tore. Overall, the presidential suite at Andriyala is a 5 star experience and fantastic value for money. We didn't want to leave. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Best hotel in the area We stayed at the wooden cabana which gave us a wonderful experience and a memorable one The food was fantastic and you have variety of foods to choose from restaurant Staff was very friendly and overall we had such a great time there.

This place is like heaven on earth. Situated on the edge of a cliff. It's like living above clouds. Most spectacular view. View from infinity pool is priceless. rooms are very clean. The food was delicious. Staff was very and welcoming to make your stay feel like you are home. I recommend this hotel to everyone (couples or family). I would definitely go back.

It is very rarely when I decide to leave a rating on the internet of the places I visit. But our stay was made incredibly unforgettable by Blom, who showed us around his village, his home, village’s paddy fields etc. We also went to waterfalls and viewpoints but these you can find anywhere. What made it special was Blom’s sincere, jolly presence. A fantastic way to spend a day in Ella region!

Very neat and clean rooms, hot water worked. No need for AC. Ananda was a very warm host. Good breakfast of fruits, salads, eggs, toast. His wife made eggless pancakes for us. We had dinner at the guest house one night which was good. Ananda took us for a morning walk. The location is quiet and peaceful amidst tree plantations and birds. We even saw hornbills. The location is correct on Gmap and 5 kms from the ella city, we had our own vehicle, so it wasn't a problem. For vegetarians, cafe rainbow was excellent with huge portions.Stayed for 2 nights.

Everything ! The place is amazing. It is charged with history and beautiful. You will find books and board games everywhere to enjoy by the fireplace when the sun goes down. The gardens are a dream. There are very well curated and you will be able to observe the birds nesting in the trees. And the view ! There is no words to describe it. It is breathtaking. Finally, what we enjoyed the most was the service. We are used to travel in luxury hotels and the staff of Thotalagala have nothing to envy to the most experienced staff. The food was really good and every team member was very kind and thoughtful. They gave us a free upgrade, offered us so many little attentions that I can mention everything in this comment. They are knowledgeable and flexible, they care for every little details, they are passionate about hospitality and genuinely caring about people. And at the end, that is the thing that matters. They are the one making this place feels like home and we hope to be able to visit them again.
