We had an incredible one night stay at Green Garden Homestay. Nillu (the guest) was super friendly, cooked delicious food for dinner and breakfast and we had a great conversation with her and her son. She also helped us arrange the safari to Huluro Eco Park, where we could see lots of wild elephants. We fell in love with her dog Elly, she was so cute and barked at the monkeys that tried to get close to the house! We would repeat for sure and recommend to our friends visiting Sri Lanka

The owner was very nice to me. He offered me free drining water and arranged it himself. Two times I got lost, I couldn't find my way to the guest house, since it's a bit further inside from the main road. He was very kind to come and pick me with his motorcycle. The room and toilet was newly built and clean. AC was working perfectly fine, although during night I didn't need it. The bed was comfortable and huge. He also provided me with cutleries when I needed. There's public transport available to Pollonaruwa 10 minutes walking distance from the place. Getting a Tuktuk might be a bit challenging.

Overall, I had a wonderful stay with my family, and it was an amazing experience. The full area was very calm and we were so relaxed. I was surprised really about your property and how amazing place that it was located. That made my day, honestly. I had visited your city several times and stayed in numerous hotels within your property range, but I could not find another property that gave us with the services you did. The check-in process went smoothly, and the staff were nice and accommodating. My room was very clean and comfortable. The food was delicious, and everything was really clean. The food quality was so good. Some dishes were excellent. The breakfast options were extremely good, and we had, like, enjoyed a lot. I mean, everything was better than we expected in a good way. I appreciate your efforts in making our stay enjoyable, and I hope this feedback will help you improve your services. The host was exceptionally helpful, arranging guides for both an elephant safari and a tour of the wonders of the old town temples (both highly recommended); I had some money issues but he was very patient in helping to resolve them.

An amazing place with fantastic staff. The location is superb, making it the perfect spot to stay for days and enjoy the views. I'd call it a gem of a location—great for drone shots, a lovely pool, and delicious food. An added bonus was the amazing and tasty English breakfast included with the booking. Nearby, you can enjoy boat rides and watch fishing activities. Plus, I even got a free car wash from the facility! Highly recommended for those seeking a calm and quiet retreat with beautiful sunsets.

    This is a far better place to stay due to the quality of the resort than in Polonnaruwa. A guest could stay here for many days as the ground are huge and relaxing. Pool and spa are kept spotless by a dedicated person that has been doing ot proudly for over 21 years.

    We absolutely loved our stay at Deer park. It is a beautiful hotel in a lovely location near the lake where you can watch the sunset in the evenings. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Most days we had the pool to ourselves (the pool itself is like a lovely oasis situated in the jungle - and the pool attendant was so helpful and friendly). The rooms were spacious, super comfortable beds and by far the best feature was the outdoor bathroom and shower - where you can hear all of the jungle noises. Fantastic place to stay.

    location is wonderful by lake - plenty of places to sit around pool and in beautiful garden leading to lake views and on terrace by restaurant (choice of sun or shade everywhere) - staff super helpful and friendly especially pool attendant and restaurant manager - great for us, but sad for hotel, we were one of only two couples on second night in this 80 room hotel - bungalow room was very elegant with delightful open air bathroom (although nowhere to sit outside) - this would be a great time to visit!!!!!!

    This is a sanctuary stay in a rural place. It was easy to find with a bus from the cross roads stop in Habarana, on any bus going to polonnaruwa, getting off at Giritale, 2nd stop then walking a short distance along a canal road. Nilu and family are very welcoming. Breakfast included is delicious. Wonderful meals are available.

    The hotel has an amazing pool surrounded by nature and a very good view of the Lake. We had two times the dinner and breakfast, which was very tasty. The staff was also very friendly and did a good job. The best thing at our visit was the „monkey menace“ in the evening and in the morning. You should find out by yourself:)
