I got to spend a day at green garden homestay with very good care. I am very happy about it. The food and room facilities were very good. I got to experience a very free environment specially with a canal. Nilu worked very closely with us. I am thankful for that. The jeep safari was also very good. I also liked the boat safari very much. The breakfast and dinner were delicious. A very good, loving and strong woman. I recommend everyone to come and enjoy your free time.

The owner was very nice to me. He offered me free drining water and arranged it himself. Two times I got lost, I couldn't find my way to the guest house, since it's a bit further inside from the main road. He was very kind to come and pick me with his motorcycle. The room and toilet was newly built and clean. AC was working perfectly fine, although during night I didn't need it. The bed was comfortable and huge. He also provided me with cutleries when I needed. There's public transport available to Pollonaruwa 10 minutes walking distance from the place. Getting a Tuktuk might be a bit challenging.

The room was beautiful, with a very nice view of the lake and the bathroom was amazing, the experience of having shower in the middle of the nature is so great! We also enjoy having drinks at night in the beautiful garden in front of the lake. The breakfast and the dinner is delicious. We took a massage and it was so relaxing… a perfect place to enjoy the nature (safaris are quite near) and relax

Everything ☺️ The staff are super helpful and don’t mind spending time to explain things and impart knowledge. We arrived after lunch time due to rain delays, and the manager made a plan for lunch without making us feel we were a bother. Delicious food 😋 and comfortable accommodation 👍🏻 A definite must stay when en route or even a few days to relax next to the pool. The garden is lush and tranquil 🌹🙏🏼

Once we left the crowded Colombo we arrived to this magical and relaxing place, surrounded by nature and a few minutes away from Polonnaruwa. The place, the room, the bath, the hospitality and the GREAT host that we had really made our visit worth it. He tooked care of us and for everything that we needed, giving us recommendations, sharing with us delicious meals, inspiring conversations and moments that will remain with us forever. The host, Mina, is exceptionally kind. She wants all her guests to be happy, comfortable and 'well feed'!!! Her cooking is also exceptional. The accommodation is simple, in a good way.     This is a far better place to stay due to the quality of the resort than in Polonnaruwa. A guest could stay here for many days as the ground are huge and relaxing. Pool and spa are kept spotless by a dedicated person that has been doing ot proudly for over 21 years.

    We absolutely loved our stay at Deer park. It is a beautiful hotel in a lovely location near the lake where you can watch the sunset in the evenings. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Most days we had the pool to ourselves (the pool itself is like a lovely oasis situated in the jungle - and the pool attendant was so helpful and friendly). The rooms were spacious, super comfortable beds and by far the best feature was the outdoor bathroom and shower - where you can hear all of the jungle noises. Fantastic place to stay.

    This is a sanctuary stay in a rural place. It was easy to find with a bus from the cross roads stop in Habarana, on any bus going to polonnaruwa, getting off at Giritale, 2nd stop then walking a short distance along a canal road. Nilu and family are very welcoming. Breakfast included is delicious. Wonderful meals are available.

    Location was great - the views from the front deck/jacuzzi were stunning looking over the lake. The hotel and the rooms were very pretty, and you felt like you were in the jungle (very peaceful and relaxing being in nature!) We also loved the outdoor rain shower and bath.

    The hotel setting was amazing. With a lot of spaces to sit and relax and wonderful view to the lake. The outdoor shower was a very nice and modern feature. Bed was comfortable The pool was lovely and it was always attended by the poolman guarding us from the monkeys
