We had a relaxing two days in nature at the homespun Glimra eco lodge on our way to Uda Walawe safari park. It was great to meet and chat to our helpful and attentive hosts Roshani and Nishanka, who are at the beginning of their journey making a larger lodging ground, and it was special to stay in their first house made by Nishanka himself. We enjoyed our afternoon canoe ride by a local fisherman, and spotting birds and animals by the lake

Leel's Safari Cottage is much more than just accommodation. It's hard to explain how well we were welcomed by Leel and his family. The attention to detail, where nothing is lacking for their guests. An incredible accommodation, well looked after, thought out down to the smallest detail. As hosts in our country we are quite demanding and critical of the accommodations where we usually stay, but here, a rating of 10 is not enough. It exceeded all expectations and it's good to realize that here, welcoming guests is more than just a business. It's done from the heart. I can only recommend that you leave your entire experience in Leel's hands, from the meals to the safari. Leel, thank you very much for welcoming us so well.

Everything! Possibly the best customer service I’ve ever experienced- and I’ve travelled a lot. Everything was clean. Food was amazing - be sure to eat all meals here if you can. An outdoor shower was a real highlight too. The family could not do enough for us. They even came along on the safari tour with us in case the guide didn’t have good English. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Wow! Its new, its clean, its great! Would definately come back. Rooms were huge and comfy. Pool was clean and just perfect. Its very close to the entrance to the park, you can see elefants right just out from the hotel (even better experience than visiting the park hahah). We even had dinner there - it was ok. Plus great staff very helpful and welcoming.

A true paradise – the perfect place to relax! Our stay at this villa was absolutely exceptional. From the very first moment, we felt completely at home – the hosts were incredibly kind and attentive. One day I wasn’t feeling well, and the owner personally brought me medicine. Thanks to his care, I felt better right away – such kindness truly touched me. The villa itself is stunning – surrounded by nature, with a private and very clean pool that was perfect for relaxing at any time of day. The room and bathroom were pure luxury: spacious, beautifully designed, and spotless.
