Once we left the crowded Colombo we arrived to this magical and relaxing place, surrounded by nature and a few minutes away from Polonnaruwa. The place, the room, the bath, the hospitality and the GREAT host that we had really made our visit worth it. He tooked care of us and for everything that we needed, giving us recommendations, sharing with us delicious meals, inspiring conversations and moments that will remain with us forever. The host, Mina, is exceptionally kind. She wants all her guests to be happy, comfortable and 'well feed'!!! Her cooking is also exceptional. The accommodation is simple, in a good way. A room with a view of the lush garden and a peaceful terrace right in the tranquility of Pollonaruwa. Dinner and breakfast were both delicious. The host was exceptionally helpful, arranging guides for both an elephant safari and a tour of the wonders of the old town temples (both highly recommended); I had some money issues but he was very patient in helping to resolve them.

The location is outstanding. The property is surrounded by the lake which is very peaceful. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, always ready to help us with anything we needed. They prepared breakfast for us earlier than usual and even gave us a parting gift.

The staff were so welcoming and friendly.-and it was just as lovely as the photos! The pool was clean and really inviting - and beautifully lit up at night. The breakfast was exceptional. I'm coeliac and they catered above and beyond for me, with fish curry, dahl, white beans, fresh fruit... We got the bus just by the hotel into town in the evening, as well as onwards for our next stage the next day-so we'll situated, altho it's out of the main town. Highly recommended.
