Lone Star Residence is newly built and furnished to exceptionally high standards. It is an inviting, spacious, hospitable place to stay with excellent facilities - kitchen especially but in truth, all rooms. Location - 15 mins taxi Palaly Int Airport; 5 mins drive Inuvil railway station; 10/15 mins drive Jaffna; 5 mins drive Chunnakam. The actual physical location is attractive in its serenity. Its located in a quiet lane on Manipay Road overlooking agricultural land owned/rented by smallholders. Noise and external interference is absolutely minimal.

Very nice and relaxed place managed by equally nice and warm people. The manager of Thambu Illam, Mathu ensured that all our requirements met precisely and Sudha ensured that our stay at the property was comfortable. Both gentlemen said call their personal phone numbers anytime if we need any assistance. The team was very friendly with our children and the kids did not want to leave.

There is also a private swimming pool and backyard. The whole accommodation is five star european standard clean! Janakan, Mehkala and Ramesh took great care of us, we felt better than at home. All staff were very friendly, helpful, warm, and accommodating—from the reception to the room boy to the restaurant. Our room was very spacious, comfortable, and clean. Our room boy, A. Sajanthan, was the best we've ever had. He anticipated our every need. The food was the highlight for us. We had a traditional Jaffna-style buffet as well as international dishes that we could order à la carte. No matter what we ordered, everything was delicious. Many thanks to the kitchen team. The service staff in the restaurant and bar were also very friendly. The staff always try to please you. No matter how busy and stressful the restaurant was, they always served us with a smile and never lost their composure. Our sincere thanks go to the catering staff: Pavithira, Sasiram, Kayana, Subaram, Elamaram, Kajeepan, and Rusanth. And finally, a special thank you to the managers Gobi and Sam, who were incredibly kind and made sure everything was perfect. We will definitely return to North Gate next year. Thank you again for everything.

A very nice hotel in the heart of Jaffna, yet in a quiet location. The rooms are nice and spacious and consist of a living area and a bedroom. The restaurant is highly recommended. It serves very authentic and delicious regional cuisine. The staff is very accommodating, and Dinesh, in particular, gave us a lot of additional information. The hotel is good value for money, and we ate in the restaurant every evening and tried many dishes on the menu. The pool and gym are cleaned daily, and everything is very tidy.
