Our stay with Anushka and his family has been a highlight of our trip! The moment we arrived we were welcomed with coffee and cake (and beer!) and from that point on felt so incredibly well looked after. We also enjoyed two delicious evening dinners with dishes cooked by different members of the family, and they even rustled up a cake for our friend’s birthday :) Anushka himself is knowledgeable and engaging and we learnt so much about Sri Lanka and its recent history. He is also an excellent guide and can organise everything needed for a day trip. Accommodation is basic but perfectly comfortable and we loved our elevated eating deck where you could watch the fireflies from a distance. 2 nights was not long enough, we look forward to visiting again some day!

Probably the best place I’ve experienced in Sri Lanka . Modern and yet with a traditional feel like no other. It’s wooden structure and design was such that it was a joy to behold ,enhanced by the gracious host for which nothing was too much trouble.

A majestic and stately property hidden away from tourist crowds in Keggale. The rooms are spacious and decorated with beautiful artefacts. Nothing is lacking as a facility inside the room. Everything about this hotel was amazing, the views are breathtaking taking. The staff are so welcoming and kind, they really care for the guests. Rooms are a great size and clean. There are a lot of bugs but expected as it is in the jungle. The food was absolutely delicious if you want authentic Sri Lankan cuisine. The pool is perfect. There is not much to do and it is far away from everything, but absolutely perfect if you just want to relax, which is exactly what I needed.

We made a last-minute booking and were lucky to get the Sky Villa – a true gem and hidden treasure! The view was absolutely breathtaking, with a private jacuzzi pool and an unbeatable sense of privacy. The service was exceptional, with staff operating at the highest level of professionalism. Totally worth the price. The feeling of being on top of a giant rock is indescribable – truly unique! The room was brand new, and we learned the hotel only opened three months ago. You definitely won’t regret staying here!
