We booked this hotel for the only purpose of visiting the Aukana Buddha statue. The hotel is ok for the area, which is not well-equipped to handle foreign tourists. The rooms were large but many things in the rooms were broken, especially in the washrooms. As long as we had working AC we were happy for one night. We didn’t have high expectations from this hotel, but the price could be reduced to reflect the true value and condition of the rooms and other facilities, like restaurant and pool, which were not well staffed or comfortable.

Absolutely incredible experience - a quiet, nurturing, caring place just 5 minutes of the main road. We were treated like royalty by all staff of this amazing gem - Athreya Ashram. Everything you can imagine to be in a 5 star resort was here, but in a smaller, more personal way. Dr.Thilaxi recommended all the Ayurveda treatments we can benefit from. Super chef-cook Nuwan - made the best roti and curries and best spicy daal. We are sure to return and already miss our morning yoga practice and personalized local trips, arranged by Dr. and Fonseca. Thanks to all the staff of the hotel. They meet us with welcome drinks. We arrived the hotel at early morning. They did not charge for that. Clean hotel room, with good view, frendly staff, good breakfast.

The property is beautiful and in a very unique setting. The rooms are so spacious and have beautiful views. The staff at the hotel are absolutely incredible - so thoughtful and kind, helpful in so many ways. They made our stay extra special and made us feel cared for and welcome. Dhananjaya was so friendly and attentive and made sure that we had delicious breakfast each morning.

We had a great stay here. This place is brand new so the rooms are clean,bed is comfy and shower is great for a cheap price relative to what you get. They have a pool also, which is critical as sigiriya is very hot and you need to cool down sometimes. Breakfast had everything you need, The staff was very attentive and friendly. The location is good, not that far from the rocks and has restaurants in a walkable distance Wifi signal was a bit slow

Location and accommodation was dreamy. A cabana in the jungle and a swimming pool in addition. Wonderful and nice owner who is very helpful. Dinner and breakfast was another highlight. I can only recommend staying there - it is on top only a 15 minute walk to Sigiriya rock.
