You need a car or a Tuk Tuk to take you anywhere as it is away from any shops ect The hotel was very helpful and arranged a Tuk Tuk to take us to the market and religious site. Be mindful regarding the beaches as they are not fit to swim in due to the plastic rubbish and pollution in the water. We went for a walk on the beach but came back after a few hundred metres as it was too depressing to go any further due to the plastic rubbish all over the beach and the millions of microplastic balls that we thought were stones and then realised what it was. The sea was very rough and not safe to swim at this time of year so we didn’t stay to explore the local area, although it was only a brief first night stopping point on our itinerary.
