- fantastic Staff!!! - really nice rooms (actually small, one bedroom houses) - tasty breakfast - location (10 min by car from the noisy city center) - views! - pool - we visited many beautiful places in Asia - this one is now in our top 3 :)

The entirely wooden home was an amazing sight and the view was even better. We arrived in the evening and woke up to a spectacular sight hearing the river/waterfalls down below. Absolutely stunning. The family that runs Wood Palace is amazing and has been great in accommodating us with anything we needed during our stay, first making arrangements for me as I was planning to propose to my girlfriend and later whilst our son got sick. The amazing starry nights from the balcony and fireflies lighting up the view topped it off. It’s located a little outside of Ella (5min drive) which made it very peaceful and quiet. The owner has a TukTuk and can bring you anywhere you need very quickly. Would definitely recommend! Thank you for a very memorable stay

This place is unbelievable. Perfect location to be away from traffic in Ella and the hospitality was outstanding. Brought us a bottle of wine for our honeymoon and made us tea every night before bed. Breakfast was delicious and all for a unbelievable price.

We had such an amazing time thanks to the very modern room overlooking the mountains! The room is very spacious & clean with a nice bathroom. The continental breakfast is also of great quality! We had the lunch twice & both times we were very enthusiastic about the quality, taste & presentation for a good price!

LOVED the view! So peaceful and quiet. Shann was the perfect host, friendly and hospitable. The food was delicious also, just be sure to order nice and early as it takes a while due to being cooked with love. We loved the fun and relaxed vibe, the music, the pool and the Sri Lankan game Carrom.

Food is great. Breakfast comprises a wide variety of fruits, eggs, juices, jam and coconut sambal. Several Sri Lankan dinner options. Sound value for money. Hotel is very new. Almost all amenities needed. Amazing view from the room. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. We stayed during our honeymoon. They decorated the bed with flowers and even provided a little present (local tea).
