From the moment you walk into the hotel, it feels like home. The view of the room was breathtaking, you get to wake up everyday to a beautiful view. The bathroom was spacious and so good. Chandana, the best chef in this world. He made us feel at home and made us the most delicilous breakfast and dinner everyday. The whole staff were super super friendly and welcoming. The pool is really nice and relaxing. 10 mins away from Secret beach which is a walking distance. We will definitely return again. We recommend it 100%. Special place to our hearts❤️

The beach and the main road were near the property. The beach restaurants were available at night by 10 minutes walking. It was about 30 minuets walk to coconut hill. The owner`s brother transmitted us to the bus stop by his tuktuk after checkout. We could see the small turtles in the beach. The room was very big and spacious.

It's sad to see the 1 star reviews from about a year ago. I assume they renovated and probably either changed owner or management. What we experienced was really nice room, 50mt walking distance to beach, nice restaurant with good variety of food and well executed. Very attentive and friendly staff, management, even kitchen staff and chef. Excellent location. It was raining they arranged tuktuk for us to go around. I saw photos of 1 star year ago, absolutely different than what we got. Well thought small details. Really good running hot water shower. And the dogs around were lovely. They even feed them and take care of them so they don't come around you for food. Just to wanna be friends. You can pay with Cards, at least that's what we did. It’s a plus in Sri lanka. Breakfast was exactly what we needed. Eggs, fruits, delicious pastries, tea coffee, Sausages. Especially the chef's special Coconut cake is a star. If youre lucky, if it's available, don't skip it. Even it was rainy, we swam woth turtles. Overall very happy with everything. Will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

My favorite spot was definitely the beachfront area right in front of Paradise Beach Club – calm waves, golden sand, and perfect sunsets. I also loved Coconut Hill, just a short walk away, with its panoramic view of the ocean and palm trees. Where I Ate- Most of my meals were at the Paradise Beach Club restaurant, which offered delicious Sri Lankan curries, fresh seafood, and good international choices. For variety, Mirissa has some great little cafés and beach shacks nearby – I especially liked the fresh juices and seafood BBQs along the beach. Mum's Kitchen, Big Belly & All you can eat were equally good. Mirissa is very easy to get around. Most places are within walking distance if you’re staying near the beach. For slightly farther spots like Weligama or Galle, tuk-tuks are everywhere and quite affordable. we booked our car for the entire trip. things to do- Whale watching tours Sunset at Coconut Hill Beach hopping Surfing

Mirissa is a popular tourist destination, and one where tourism income trumps everything else - usually at the expense of the environment. So, if you’re looking for an idyllic escape to a pristine, tropical paradise, you’ll need to lower your expectations quite a bit. Unfortunately, the businesses lining the beachfront have been allowed to attempt to artificially hold back the sea, by building awful sea walls, sandbagging, etc. This has resulted in far less beach than there would naturally be. The other inescapable truth is that it’s quite polluted - mainly with discarded plastics (bottles, drinking straws, bags, etc.) and other rubbish. It really is heartbreaking to see, and it’s everywhere. Picking up a few bags of it everyday on my walks didn’t even make a dent! (This problem isn’t limited to Mirissa, by the way. It’s everywhere in Sri Lanka. Substantial regulatory change and investment in education are needed - now!) As a visitor, do your part and at least set a good example by not discarding your rubbish. On the plus side, the people are very friendly and welcoming, and there are quite a few great places to eat and enjoy a cold drink. I found the better restaurants on the main road rather than the beach. There are also plenty of lovely, small, family-run restaurants throughout the back streets that are worth seeking out.

I spent one night at a Coastal Villa in Mirissa, and it was one of my best experiences in Sri Lanka. The villa is situated in a calm and quiet area, yet it is within walking distance to both the town and the beach. The rooms are spacious, and the beds were clean and comfortable. The air conditioner functioned well during the extremely hot weather, and the staff were very helpful. Initially, we did not book the room with a meal included, but the staff were accommodating and provided a variety of delicious Sri Lankan dishes on short notice. I decided to extend my stay, and the villa staff easily fulfilled my request. I recommend Coastal Villa to anyone seeking a place to stay in Mirissa.

Mirissa was the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure. Beautiful beaches, amazing sunsets, and a laid-back vibe but also plenty to explore, like whale watching and surfing. A great place to slow down and enjoy Sri Lanka’s south coast.

Mirissa is an over rated tourist destination. Overdeveloped with too many motels crammed into a small area and crowded beach ruin the setting. More popular with younger party generation rather than relaxing.

The location on the beach was amazing, easy to walk around and a great view. The pool was lovely, and there was enough of beach loungers. The breakfast and housekeeping staff were absolutely lovely, they treated us with kindness and were always ready to help. Breakfast was exceptional. After walking around beach in Mirissa the hotel seemed to have the best location. We stayed in a street view room, and the road noice didn't bother us.

Lovely little oasis in Mirissa. Beautiful garden, full of birds, peacocks and Monkeys in the morning. Owner and caretaker very attentive and helpful. Close to Mirissa beach, great for body surfing. The nearby hotel could deliver meals, great, as we had a baby with us. and invited us to swim in the hotel’s pool. Comfortable beds and hot showers.
