Amazing location as the property was in beach front, with a little gate giving access to the beach. Due to being low season we are the only guest but the quality of the stay was not impacted, and the host was amazing. Swimming pool is modern and it was clear even if it was just for us. The room was clean , spacious and air conditioning was powerful. We recommend the local breakfast with sea view. Lunch and dinner was not possible during our stay but host recommended us 'Priya Moon Cafe and Seafood Restaurant' located 500m away and it was so good we came back during the second night.

The Sea Bay Inn feels like one of a kind. The owner and the complete staff have been so nice and welcoming, it felt like home. The room was new, modern and very clean. We've been able to reach the closest supermarket by foot easily and even walked to the city center. The closest beach to the Sea Bay Inn is just down the road and absolutely beatiful. There are not many spots outside of direct sunshine, but the beach is not very crowded. If you need any travel advice around town the owner will help you swiftly, her son is also available with his TukTuk. All in all a very pleasent stay and we would love to come back!

I recently stayed at Igabara Hobbit House Rakawa, and it was such a wonderful experience from start to finish. The place is truly special — surrounded by nature, filled with greenery, and designed with a lot of creativity and care. The atmosphere is peaceful, making it a perfect escape from the busy city life. The room was very clean, cozy, and beautifully decorated in a unique hobbit-style design that makes you feel like you’re in a little hidden paradise. The garden area and pool are well maintained, and it’s such a nice spot to relax, read a book, or enjoy a quiet evening. The staff were extremely kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything needed. They made sure everything was comfortable during my stay. The location is also great — just a few minutes away from the beach, so you can enjoy both nature and the sea. Overall, it was an unforgettable stay. A very nice guest house in Tangalle. The location is superb, maybe 1 minute away from the beach and all its restaurants. The best thing was the large and clean swimming pool, which was fantastic for our kids and the garden with the pool is just gorgeous. The staff was also very friendly and accomodating. There is a lagoon in the back of the property and they have kayaks you can rent free of charge which was a nice experience. The room was large, with a small kitchen area and comfy bed with a mosquito net. No AC, just a fan.

We had a fantastic stay at this family-run hotel! The location is great—very close to the beach and within walking distance of Turtle Beach, where we had the unforgettable experience of watching giant green turtles lay eggs. The hotel is spotless, and both breakfast and dinner were exceptional, offering a mix of authentic Sri Lankan dishes and classic Western options. The owner is incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely cares about guests’ comfort. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a warm and memorable stay!
