We arrived at the property later than expected but Anne was very welcoming and accommodating. The room was very clean and all the amenities required were available. Special mention for the mild clove scent in the room.

It's a private house facing a small stream and a field. It has a good bed and a/c, nice view from the window, private bathroom, a small kitchen with cooking equipment ,fridge and a basin. The main centre of this city with the bus stop, restaurants and bar are only a few steps away. The owners are kind. They were always ready to help if we had any questions or concerns. Its very near to lunugumvehera national park in which you can go safari without disturbing the jungle creatures too much as it's less crowded than many other crowded safari parks around. It is one of the best places we stayed in Sri Lanka.

Our stay at this charming riverside cottage was unforgettable. The food and beverages were fresh, delicious, and full of local flavor, and the staff were warm, welcoming, and always ready to help. Just a short 5 km ride from the property, there’s a beautiful river where we enjoyed a refreshing bath while feeding the fish — such a rare and peaceful experience. We also had a fantastic BBQ night under the stars, and the surroundings were perfect for bird watching in the early morning. The calm, natural setting truly helped me unwind and release stress. This was the best hotel I stayed in Sri lanka. We booked 2 rooms and found out the whole villa is ours. The hostess was extremely friendly and helpful. The cleanness of the rooms, size of the room amazing, location in a peaceful quiet very beautiful place, close to the river. We missed the barbecue though. But teh terrace and balcony are worth to try it.

The team at flameback were pretty amazing especially Sampath and Varun, they took of every need we had. The property is very well maintained with all the facilities. Only improvement suggested is better lighting in the room as it was pretty low lit.
