New hotel, really very nice one, clean rooms, perfect shower, nice pool with towels, excellent staff (especially Momo), very helpful. Always willing to help, if you need more for breakfast, just ask;) They managed tuk-tuk for us, peeled fruit which we bought in the local market, also always willing to prepare sitting with glasses and ice cubes when having some own drinks. At the end they managed the transort by van to Mirissa when leaving. There is nothing bad to say about this hotel, strongly recommend. The best beach for swimming probably Tangalle Beach and Goyambokka with small nice local bars, seats and umbrellas for free when drinking and eating there.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay – it truly is a dream destination. Every detail has been carefully taken care of by the owners, reflecting their dedication. What stands out the most is how they’ve managed to combine a sense of luxury with a laid-back, natural ambiance. It never felt overdone, but perfectly integrated with the surrounding nature, creating a serene and inviting atmosphere. The staff, both in the restaurant and in maintaining the property, were outstanding – attentive, professional, discrete and always smiling. We really appreciated the exceptional attention to every aspect. A truly unforgettable stay.

Manè is warm and very kind host. She made me feel at home, indeed!! The room was very bright clean and spacious, the service over the top! Beside of it, a very nice balcony with a sitting chilling area with sea view. Breakfast very high quality, homemade and big quantity and variety. Location is right in front of the beach and close to everything you might need.. Definitely my favourite place so far. I d have had more time to hang around just cause i felt so welcome and relaxed. At evening was alwas a pleasure to be back in my room and feeling so confortable. Such a nice sleeping everytime. Manè s son dropped me at the bus station and has very kind as well. Seriously i hope to be back and spend more time in this place, where i felt at home. Thank you Manè!!!!

Such an amazing place. We were actually very sad to leave after 3 days. Would have loved to stay longer. Directly on the beach and all you hear are the waves. We ate quite often in the Restaurant and all meals were very tasty with good prices. The beaches are rather quite, which was perfect for some relaxed days. You can get free sunbeds if you buy a drink at the Restaurants which have sunbeds or you just take your towl to the beach. Would definately love to come again.

    The owners and staff were delightful - the service great. The cabannes were in the style of my travels 50 years ago and a great reminder of how simple life can (and should) be. For eating there is plenty of choice in the area and all easy walking but not always in 32 deg 😂

    Tangalle is a mix of typical large commercial local Sri Lankan town buzz combined with touristy beach / restaurant / bar area. Very laid back along that 'strip', many bars and restaurants vying for business so you can be selective.

    Perfect place to relax by the beaches, some of them are like or similar a near private beach type; but, difficult to swim. Generally, the waves and current are rough and sometime dangerous to rocky beaches; in early morning time, 9-10 am, waves and current can be managed to some extent....

    It’s more of a local sleepy town and less touristy than the rest of the south coast. Lots of great beaches and family run restaurants. I could have easily used it as a base and stayed longer had the weather been better.

    Tangalle is a hidden gem!

    Tangalle is a hidden gem! So many wonderful beaches around the town. I stayed by the Goyambokka beach but preferred the neighbouring Silent beach, which was longer and so beautiful. I had dinner at neighbouring South Sea Pearl Beach restaurant, which served amazingly delicious food.

    The town has very little to offer.

    The town has very little to offer. It’s a noisy, chaotic typical Sri Lankan town. The only redeeming factor was Silent Beach on the Western side of town. We also enjoyed a nice meal at Cactus Lounge.

    The property was very well maintained with a very high standards of cleanliness with all the best amenities. The service provided by the staff deserves 5 stars as they attended to all of our needs and expectations.The food was out of this world with a fine dining experience. Without a doubt these guys have taken hospitality to another level. By far the best boutique hotel we have been to in Sri Lanka and we would definitely recommend Maya Tangalle to anyone who wishes to experience a calm, quiet and luxurious vacation!

    This is a perfect 10. We were late but the dinner was ready, a wonderfall crab combo and a beer and just time to finish and go to sea the turtles needing and the babies birth. The beach is just a few meters from the hotel. The breakfast was also marvellous and and Don offered us his service to drive to our next place in this wonderful Sri Lanka. Do not hesitate to go there and see the turtles and much more. The best welcome ever !

    Beautiful hotel right on the beach, in a quiet part of Tangalle. Very friendly people, the reception can arrange all sorts of excursions. Nice restaurant and bar, with both Sri Lankan and Western options. Guests can use the swimming pool of the hotel next door, it even has a pool bar. Fantastic to take a plunge with views of the ocean after a hot day. Would definitely recommend staying here to recharge your batteries!

    The hotel is located on a beautiful, private beach with a small bar where you can buy food and drinks. Beautiful, large, clean pool and the best view🥰 Nice, large, bright rooms. The hotel serves delicious food.😋 And above all, very nice staff and a very lovely family who make you feel at home. ❤️ If we return to Sri Lanka again we will definitely stay again.😍

    One of our best accommodations in Sri Lanka! Beautiful hotel area with lovely treehouses and cabañas! The staff is very nice and we extended our stay because we loved it so much! A real dream right at the beach and away from the touristy crowds! Would really recommend staying here!
