If you are looking for a peaceful refuge to unplug from civilization while remaining comfortable, this is it. As the name describes, it is one cottage with nothing around but nature and a few distant neighbors. Perched high on the hill it provides an excellent vantage point to watch the clouds play with the hills. The host Eric is diligent and responsive. The caretakers are friendly and deliver delicious local food. And the friendly watch dog is an enjoyable companion. The facilities are comfortable and clean, and the wifi is strong. The cottage and food are a great value for the money asked. Unique opportunity to feel alone without sacrificing.

It was so dreamy. Top of the mountains yet a touch if luxury everywhere. One of a lifetime experience. The food was exceptional. Chef and his team are really going beyond. I dont usually eat 3 times a day but couldnt help myself with the food in Santani. Everyone was super friendly and attentive.

The location is absolutely stunning, with a balcony that looks out over the most breathtaking view. The chalet was charming, comfortable, and well-equipped, including a pleasant bathroom and shower. The full board meals were exceptional. I can’t stop thinking about their Sri Lankan breakfast, and the ice cream was unforgettable. The staff were welcoming and attentive. We stayed at this place for 10 days, and it was one of the most comfortable and beautiful experiences during our entire trip around Sri Lanka. The view from the room is absolutely stunning — you can lie in bed and admire the mountains and a reservoir that looks like a fjord. Truly a magical setting. The room is very spacious (over 50 m²), with high-quality finishes, stylish design, and a small kitchen. We had a huge balcony on the second floor, which was perfect for relaxing. Everything was there: hot water, fridge, a work desk, and great Wi-Fi. The hosts are incredibly friendly and caring. The staff is excellent — always ready to help with anything. The food deserves a special mention: delicious and hearty breakfasts and dinners, everything was prepared with great quality.
