It was a great experience! A tent was spacious and clean with large and comfortable beds and food was delicious. We enjoyed quad and camel riding. Our 6 years old son enjoyed sand boarding and exploring the camp. Staff from the camp was so attentive and playful with children. I must say that I haven't visited a country before where the people are so welcoming, friendly and devoted to children. Our guide was knowledgeable and passionate about the desert, sharing fascinating insights into the landscape and its history. Camel riding through the golden dunes at sunset felt like a scene from a dream, and sandboarding added an adventurous twist. The serenity of the desert at night, under a blanket of stars, was a spiritual experience in itself. Dinner by the campfire, surrounded by the majestic beauty of the Erg, was a feast of Moroccan flavors, and the staff ensured every part of the excursion was seamlessly organized. The host Aziz was a wonderful host. He took me to the Oasis and Chigaga Erg. He also arranged for my return taxi which was extremely helpfu.l He made my desert adventure a very memorable one. Chef Barack is a very kind person who makes delicious vegan food. I highly recommend this property.

The staff at "camp desert trips" is very kind, a big thank you to Aziiiiz, he organized for us a camel ride until sunset and a four sunrise quad bike tour, all of it was a great and unforgettable experience. dinner and breakfast are very rich and delicious. I can't recommend it enough.

If you want to avoid big crowds and are willing to travel a bit then M'Hamid may be a good choice. You are 2 hours by 4x4 and a couple days by camel to see the Erg Chigaga. When I was visiting in December there were not large crowds which enhanced the trip for me.

A busy village with normal Moroccan/Desert life and passing tourists. Only a few tourists stay overnight. Limited number of restaurants. People are very friendly and welcoming. The whole village can be walked in 40 minutes. We had food at AZWAD which was nice. The tourist shops are typical of Morocco but not too pushy.

This small town is the entrance to the Sahara desert, so...

This small town is the entrance to the Sahara desert, so it’s an advantage for those who come for the trekking or the desert tours. The disadvantage is the sandstorm that hits directly the houses and streets of the town. Nevertheless the people in the town are cheerful and friendly, they welcome the visitors with lovely smile The town is rather new to the local people, a few km away from the town, the vast oasis spread in which embraces several Ksars with ancient earth and cray buildings. One can explore those ksars, meet the people in the communities, that is a precious experience apart from the camel rides or trekking in the desert.

M'Hamid is the perfect gateway to the Sahara Desert.

M'Hamid is the perfect gateway to the Sahara Desert. The village exudes a peaceful atmosphere, and the locals are incredibly welcoming. We used M'Hamid as our starting point for an unforgettable desert adventure. The camel trek into the dunes and the night under the starry sky were simply magical. M'Hamid is a hidden gem worth exploring!

Perfect place to start your trip into the Sahara desert.

Perfect place to start your trip into the Sahara desert. We went to the Chegaga dunes, 60 km by 4x4 on dirt tracks. There are several bedouin camps you can book for an unforgettable overnight stay. We booked with Chegaga berber camp. We highly recommend them. The return trip was 90€ (900 dirham) and well worth it.

This was by far the most remarkable experience we had in Morocco. It was incredibly beautiful and enjoyable. The accommodations were clean and comfortable, and the staff was unbelievably helpful. Hassan, one of the staff members, went above and beyond to assist my sick friend, showing exceptional kindness and dedication. This experience deserves a perfect 10/10 rating; it's an absolute must-do and should not be missed!
