What a pleasure it was to stay here :) We stopped here for 1 night to break our drive from Fes to Merzouga. It is a beautiful property located just on the side of the road. We were immediately greeted by amazing and gentle staff who made sure our stay was very pleasant. The room was enourmous, with A/C and a very comfortable bed and everything else you might need. The property has a restaurant and a pool on the other side of the road - we had dinner there when we arrived and the food was good - not the best in Morocco but after a whole day travelling it was just what we needed. The pool is located in an amazing setting! Wish we had had more time to enjoy it. Also, the breakfast was 10/10!

Have to try Mohammad’s chicken tagine, best dinner I have had over the 5 days in Morocco. Their chicken was freshly prepared and so tasty, meat was succulent it just melted in the mouth. Motorcycle was securely locked up indoors and they own a shop that sell a large variety of reasonably priced garments. They offer private trips to the Merzouga dunes as well which I wish I knew before.

Absolutely stunning decor, everything clean and tidy, air con fully working, nice balcony view and delicious breakfast! The tea was also the best we had so far. Hosts were very welcoming and made us feel like at home. We had the best rest during our trip to Morocco. Hoping to visit again and stay for dinner! Also spent some time doing some stretches on the roof terrace which was spontaneous as we felt such a great energy about the place.

Moha, our host and colleagues, were very friendly and made us feel at home. The Amazigh people are so so friendly. The hotel is a 25min walk out of town centre. It was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was really good, one of best we have had on our trips. A great stop over.

Everything, the young and handsome owner Said was very nice and helpful, showed great hospitality by helping us with lots of luggages both in and out of the Maison, giving us a hike to the nearby look out point which was excellent. We had the rooftop all by ourselves and had memorable stargazing experience. The morning breakfast at the terrace was awesome and plentiful. Thanks Said, great job and we will recommend your Maison to ou friends should the come to Morocco.

Take the time to explore this and the surrounding oases by car, local transport, or better still, on foot, and you will be rewarded. There is a local nearby (south 10km) at Aoufous on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Women wear distinctive black cloaks with bright embroidery. The local associations will sell you dates, date syrup (a winner!), herbal teas, and even 'coffee' made of date pits (not my thing).
