Budva, like the other cities in Montenegro, is a fantastic place, nice beaches, a very beautiful old town,has a lot of water activities and night life is brimming . It is indeed a destination worthy of travelling for both young and old. Just be ready with lots cash because most of the shops and restaurants there only accepts cash. There are ATMs everywhere but there are charges. Transportation wise, if you are just in Budva, everything is walking distance, going to the beach or the old town, there are just minutes away. But, if you want to visit other places, taking a bus is the most effective way, it's cheaper than taking a taxi where the driver will ask a ridiculous price. Just go to the bus station and buy the tickets there in cash, don't buy them online because once you arrive at the bus station, they will ask you to print it otherwise it's null and void, they have printing servie there but it's gonna be another pay (1 euro per print).Guest review byMurphy JohnUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Nice Old Town. Nice citadelle. I can recommend the sea trip to Dubrovnik with mv Antonija - every Sunday and Friday. It is better to rent something in Becici or Rafailovici and visit Budva for 1 or 2 days.Guest review byAnnaPoland - 10.0

Budva is nice: old town, sea side and restaurants with a good food. It is easy to walk around, but to get an impression about Montenegro it is also worth to visit other cities. Budva is just a beautiful town surrounded by large mountains with the Adriatic sea at the base. There is a vibrant night scene, especially on Saturday night, but also a nice, quiet scene with great restaurants. It is walkable. The people are friendly. The Old Town is just fabulous with many shops and restaurants. The beaches are great - we loved Mongren II the best. We had traveled for several weeks prior to coming to Budva and because there were not cruise ships, it made it so nice to walk around. Not saying there were not a lot of people and tourists, but did not seem as crowded. Looking down on the town from our fabulous location called Apartment Inspiration, it was stunning to see the large mountain peaks, the Old Town, the clear, colorful water of the Adriatic. Very conveniently located, clean, everything you need is in the room. But the main thing is Evelina, who took care of us the entire time we were there. She offered us more comfortable rooms with a sea view. All minor problems (and there were no major ones) were resolved instantly. She is a warm person, this is very important.
