Komandoo is a small resort with only 65 rooms. Most guests are repeat visitors, with some having been coming back for over 10 years. Like a lot of the guests, we have tried other Maldivian island resorts, and have come to the same conclusion - Komandoo is a quiet, friendly resort with excellent food. The star of the resort is most definitely the staff. Without exception they are helpful, friendly, and with a maximum of 130 guests, they quickly get to know you. Seeing repeat guests arrive was like watching a family reunion. The villas and facilities are basic - not the latest flashy trends with private pools and the like, but solid and comfortable.

It really is like a paradise island, and everything is beautiful. The Champions are lovely and took really good care of us. It is the perfect place to just relax and do chill, and when we wanted activities they offer a variety of fun things to do. We can't wait to go back.

I love being on an adult only island that is small and friendly. the villas are quite private with vegetation forming a natural barrier from your neighbour. it feels like your own private beach in front of your villa. We always have a sun rise side villa to watch the sun come up each morning. This was our 9th visit to Komandoo!

A beautiful quiet small island with plenty of privacy and very peaceful as adults only .. able to swim to house reef and snorkelling was easy .. had free sunset cruise and saw dolphins .. did the turtle tour and snorkelled with large turtles .. restaurant food was great and there was always a good variety of food choices Definitely would recommend Komandoo for a romantic peaceful holiday

Beautiful island, they have an amazing reef, they offer many activities to enjoy your time in the island. The food is delicious they have different options every day. The island is very private and calm. We swam with turtles and baby sharks just right next to the hotel beaches. It was awesome!

Appreciation: Exceptional place. Super friendly staff. Even though our flight arrived early staff at the lounge helped us to catch an early seaplane to the resort that saved us some time. Special mentions to friendly staff like Wahab(from the restaurant), Saam(from reception), Vinod(from the bar). After initial disappointment because of the activities, these people turned the picture for us. Criticism: This is our second trip to the resort and we still love the location. Our first visit so memorable and we have done so many activities. we have planned our second trip to this resort assuming that we will have a similar experience. However, it was a little disappointing. I had to struggle to book activities through the app. By the time I have reached the resort all the activities were already booked and there were literally no slots available for any activity. If not for Saam(friendly person at the help desk) we would have returned from the resort with zero activities done. I strongly believe this is something the resort should address to have repeaters. Not a helpful feeling after so much effort was put into the planning by us and we were able to do only a very few activities because of very limited slots. This is the only area where we felt a bit disappointed with the resort. I went to other spas in other resorts too but this one gave us a dull feeling as it was not on the beach like other resorts. The service at the spa was good thou.
