Great location, staff is friendly, the room itself is basic but it has everything you need. The room was very clean and I was able to watch Netflix and take a warm shower. There’s a store right in front for snacks and drinks. The owner is also willing to drop you off at the airport at a lower cost than a taxi. Great place to stay.

Everything was perfect! Great location, great staff, great place to stay! The room was clean and comfortable, in a perfect location, near the city center. The staff was very kind and helpful. We highly recommend this place!

The incredible care of the staff, the breakfast, the location, the clean yet chic interiors. There are no words that can express my gratitude for hotel Materia during my stay . I had an unfortunate experience in Oaxaca and the kindness, time and energy they gave me surpassed my expectations . This hotel is simply the best in every way. Each member of the staff went out their way on many occasions to give us the best possible experience. What an incredible family!

I enjoyed the location, but it is about a 25 minute walk to the Zocalo. The neighborhood is very pretty, and there are good places to eat nearby. The room was excellent, really nicely furnished and it had everything that I needed.

Everything. Honestly amazing staff that go above and beyond for you. They even checked for me at the airport for a jacket I left behind by accident. There’s always coffee and water. The rooftop is beautiful they even have some weights for working out. I loved the neighborhood many great eats and cafes nearby. They gave restaurant suggestions which exceeded my expectations. I loved this property and would stay here again. I’ve seen reviews complaining about noise but it’s very quiet there. Especially considering it’s Mexico. Mexico is not typically quiet. I had great sleeps here. The location was awesome very walkable to everything and I will return when I’m in Oaxaca again. They have everything you need. Tiny mini fridge in room and larger one to keep food in on second floor. Stocked kitchen on the rooftop to prepare food if you wish. Beautiful views. Just an amazing stay overall

The interior design is remarcable, attention to every little detail is incredible! Everyone was so helpful from the answering of questions online / via text, and they managed to help us get a room earlier in order to get ready for the commitment we had. Amazing how friendly and helpful they all are. Bread and breakfast were delicious!
