Friendly people, lots to see if you like small coastal fishing villages. With two rivers, there are plenty of birds and wildlife to see. The village is pleasant to walk at night with local families enjoying the plaza.Guest review byShawnCanada - 10.0
Although not directly on a beach, San Blas has much to see.
Although not directly on a beach, San Blas has much to see. It is a peaceful town on a beautiful river. There was more to do in the area than we had time to visit. It's easy to walk anywhere in town, but a car is the best way to get to the outlying beaches and fishing villages. We went for bird watching and photography.
We went for bird watching and photography. We had an excellent local guide Antonio Robles. We also did a boat tour up the mangrove river with Don Chencho who was an excellent and knowledgeable bird spotter. Beware that the afternoon (3:00-7:00) boat tour returns after dark when it is quite cool. Other than birding there is very little to see or do in San Blas. It looks like its better times are long past. Best restaurant is WalaWala, a nice Mexican place with good food and a great English speaking host.Guest review byOliverCanada

About 15 min. from San Blas Beach club drinks and service was good but the sand fleas were terrible. Hard to be outside at sunset. Bring lots of bug spray and use it.
