Kuah is just about decent but i would prefer the Cenang Beach area . If you can't get a hotel there, Kuah should be your next choice. The Island is small so you can get around in under 30 minutes to any spot of the island.Guest review byR - 6.0

Kuah was nice, the locals were very friendly and we found some restaurants that served great food, however, our accommodation could have been better. There were things in the apartment that did not work and we had a booking for 5 adults but there were only two coffee cups, four chairs. Lock on the balcony door didn't work and neither did the lock on bedroom 1 window. Also, it took a couple of days for the wi-fi to work correctly.Guest review byJennyAustralia - 10.0

Many things to do: Geoparks, mangrove river tour, wildlife, Maha Tower, beautiful beaches and sunsets, cable cars and sky bridge, island hopping on speed boats, as well as delicious Malay, international cuisine and seafoods. Overall my fav part of the Island, with plenty of places. Scarborough FIsh n Chips is a great place to visit on Wednesday Nights for a beer and live music, along with Jacks bar. Great city to see and explore.
Great city to see and explore. The whole Island of Langkawi can be driven around so if you like a build up city Kuah is ideal to stay in. Close to the port and many choices for a good meal and exploring a night market.Guest review byAntoinetteAustralia

On one of the nights where we didn't feel like dining out, we had room service. Its menu has an array to choose from and they were delicious.. We stayed in the Family Suite which is spacious for our family of 5 and fronting the seaview where we had a beautiful bird's eye view of the sea and The Tower. Kuah is a town with a night market etc but it's not a beach resort so quiet if that's what you want! You will need to rent some wheels from the hotel or use taxis. A GRAB to Tanjung Rhu beach was about 30 Ringgit. Dont miss the SktCab and Sky Bridge. The hotel was exceptional value. Big, bright rooms, great views from the balcony.
