I stayed at the Arcticus in Harstad in order to meet the Havila cruise ship on the morning following my stay. From the hotel (although not my room) I could see the arrival of the ship. The breakfast was excellent. The Arcticus has a novel feature in that they provide a free buffet dinner in the early evening. The food was simple but satisfying. It really made you feel liek you were at home. This was a great way to start my visit to the Lofoten Archipelago.

The hotel is quite close to the airport. We arrived late by plane and walked there. The car rental we booked for the following day. the trip is well lit and hs mostly a sidewalk. for 1-2min we walked next to a street but there basically is no traffic. we would do it again like this. The breakfast was tasty and the automated checkin and checkout worked so seamlessly that im disappointed in the swiss hotels (where i’m from). The whole stay massively overdelivered on my expectations.
