We recently had the pleasure of staying at KAILASH BOUTIQUE HOTEL in Thamel, Kathmandu, a true gem nestled in a vibrant location. From the clean, comfortable rooms to the exquisite cuisine (better than the local restaurants we visited!), every aspect of our stay was designed for relaxation and delight. However, what truly set our experience apart was the extraordinary presence of the manager, Dol. From the moment we arrived, Dol exuded warmth, kindness, and an unmistakable passion for hospitality. With decades of experience as a trekking guide, his vast knowledge and resourcefulness was evident in every interaction. His mastery of professionalism, practicality, good sense and great humour is rare even in 5-star deluxe hotel managers. There are many excellent hotel managers out there, but Dol goes above and beyond what can be learned. He welcomed us not merely as guests, but as friends, and he made us feel like our comfort and well-being were among his highest priorities. His genuine care helped make our our stay a memorable journey of discovery and delight. Dol's wisdom and generous spirit provided not only exceptional service but also an inspiring reminder of the beauty of human connection. The location is superb, in the heart of Thamel and meanwhile calm. Everyone in the staff was so kind and accommodating. I felt welcomed from the moment I stepped in. The breakfast buffet had delicious variety and the rooftop swimming pool was refreshing and with nice views. I highly appreciate that they had the luggage storage which saved me a lot of hassle moving around with a heavy suitcase after shopping in Thamel :) Thank you a million 🙏🤩✨

Great location,nice clean room, clean bathroom, super comfy bed and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. breakfast and dinner was very good,I travel with my daughter and we felt very safe walking around. The beautiful Monkey temple only a 15min walk for the hotel. I'm planning my second trip to Kathmandu in a few months and I'll be staying here again for sure. Only a block away from Thamel and great shopping.

We had a wonderful stay here! On our journey from India to Kathmandu we both got food poisoning & upon arrival at the hotel the staff did everything they could to help us. We felt very looked after & this continued for the duration of our stay. The location of the hotel was great, right in the middle of Thamel, close to everything. The room was spacious & spotlessly clean & breakfast was good, especially the coffee. But for us, the staff were the highlight. We have been travelling for almost 2 years & they are up there with the best we've ever encountered. We felt so welcome - thank you for having us!
