Beautiful, peaceful, idyllic location right by the water at Queen Charlotte Sound. We enjoyed walking the last leg of the famous Queen Charlotte track, which was a wonderful, relatively easy track offering superb views. Jumped off the jetty for a swim in the sound and within 2 mins having a hot shower at the apartment. Tanya and Shayne could not have made us more welcome. They clearly enjoy sharing their piece of paradise, and their enthusiasm is addictive. Very comfortable bed, great shower, well equipped kitchen, peaceful sleep. Don't hesitate to book and stay as long as you possibly can. You won't regret it! We've stayed in some gorgeous places in the South Island and this one was our favourite. The nice person who checked us in. She did not mind that we where a bit early. Clean room and bathroom. The bed was nice and soft. There was electrical kitchen material so you could make your own dinner. Nice and quit en nearby the ferry and city centre.

This is exquisitely beautiful accommodation with all the creature comforts. The claw bath and salts was an absolute highlight along with the outdoor balcony with views along the street - enjoyed all the more with the complimentary wine and cheese on arrival. The rooms and beds are gloriously spacious and comfortable. I also hadn't appreciated that breakfast was included in our booking so this was a lovely bonus. Julienne and her team bent over backwards to ensure we enjoyed a wonderful stay. And this really was a wonderful stay. Thank you sincerely!!!

Make sure you take insect repellent to keep the sandflies away! The beach is very safe and so refreshing on the hot day we were there. The early morning dawn chorus of the local native birds was amazing

It is a great place if you like walking and at the same time...

It is a great place if you like walking and at the same time want to relax. The break fast was excellent with amazing views whilst you eat. It was possibly to drive to either Picton or Havelock for restaurants as well as arranging boat trips for fishing or sight seeing. We saw many dolphins on a trip to the bird sanctuary.Their is a local pub where you can have a meal and meet the locals. The only disadvantage if you wanted fine dinning then you had to drive to Picton which took thirty minutes.

Looking out the big front window at the bay, the boats, the mountains, and the manicured front yard is spectacular. Very well equipped and thoughtful touches. Spotlessly clean. Easy access to the Queen Charlotte Track, the waterfront, and a reasonable drive to surrounding towns and attractions.
