Nicely situated, easy 3 min walk to a great breakfast spot, and close proximity to restaurants for lunch/dinner too; close to Hahei Beach or an easy walk to catch the bus that runs every 20 mins to the Catherdral Cove drop off. We felt right at home when we arrived! We made a booking on short notice and Glen even waited a little longer for us to arrive to do the check-in - even if self check-in would have been possible, too. Glen is awesome!! He warmly welcomed us and took the time to give us recommendations and tips. We liked it so much that we actually stayed a night longer than anticipated!! Don't just drop by for one night, it is really worth it to stay at least two nights. The cottages feel super private and are really unique, having reused parts from an old church. They have shovels and extra towels for the hot water beach.

The cottages were wonderful and perfectly located in Hahei, the shops, brewery and near the start of the walk to Cathedral Cove. The Cottages were spotless with everything one would need for a short or long term stay. Bed was very comfortable and it was lovely having breakfast on the sunny balcony.

We tried to get to Hotwater beech, but were slightly late...

We tried to get to Hotwater beech, but were slightly late for low tide and could not stay longer for the evening one. We did not expected to spend long time for digging a hole for ourselves as we didn't have a shovel and we heard that place could be very overcrowded. So it was mainly a quick glance on the popular spot :) But we enjoyed another sightseeings nearby.

nice location, about 20 min walking from hot water beach. clean, kitchen, shower, toilet are common, but really good. also nice playground, trampoline, swing and swimming pool for kids, we have 2 children and they had really fun there. For me it's really nice place for staying with children.

Extremely crowded in hot spring area.

Extremely crowded in hot spring area. People are very selfish with hot pools and don’t tend to share the small area with the springs. When you do get the chance to make a small pool, it’s very fun and the water is great.

Don't come too early!

Don't come too early! The tide needs to go out to expose the heated area which you can feel by digging your feet into the sand. We arrived too early and dug for an hour in the wrong area for no reason, do the research on where to dig to save you time. Walk about 250 meters from the end car park back along the beach to find a rock outcrop. We found the heated area on the seaward side of the rocks. See the photo. We ended up digging with complete strangers to try to find a heated area and ended sharing our pool which was a nice touch. The springs are hot - almost unbearable, so a bucket to get seawater is a good idea to cool your pool down. Don't forget to use sunscreen too!

A quiet time of year, so the park was rather quiet (to our liking). The grounds and facilities are immaculate, and the feature of Hotwater Beach was easily accessed from the park, along a scenic short raised boardwalk which gave us our first view of a Tui bird :)

Beautiful and quiet place where you could hear lots of different birds' songs. As we came to winter, it was quiet and oeaceful. Hotwater beach is walkibg distance and you don't have to pay very expensive car park there!

Great Park located close to hotwater beach and well looked after with friendly staff ! Dinner and breakfast can buy on site or make your own in the kitchen provided. Good cabins with warm comfy beds.
